RLW Against Palm Oil

RLW Against Palm Oil

Are You?

Hi and welcome back to Ria Lives Well!

When I see an image like this, the world makes no sense to me.

Source: News for Animal Welfare

This is an orangutan, for those who may not know. What you do know, just by looking at the image, is his pain. His agony. The way he withdraws from the world to protect himself, to hide from those responsible for his anguish.

You’re probably wondering the story behind the above image. Well just take a look at the below image.

Orangutans and burned, buried alive and trampled in their habitat for the making of palm oil.

This is the reason for his, and many other species suffering: palm oil.

A tangible object, barely a necessity in life. Yet it’s production has put the lives of orangutans, tigers and several species of birds in danger. Does that justify the image? We know it doesn’t. And we can do something to prevent this from happening to others.

Say NO to profit driven investors and speak UP to save these animals and their homes.

First, you can sign any of these petitions against palm oil.

Then read up on the topic. Read as much as you can to know as much as you can. And when you’re done, read Say NO to palm oil. This website is an encyclopedia of information on the topic.

Next, you can avoid any product on the market that contains palm oil, or palm kernel oil. This includes the below “hidden” names for palm oil. Palm oil can be found in food, personal care products, and many other sources. So always be on the look-out. Say No to Palm Oil can also help you in the food department, so go check it out.

A very important part of saying no to palm oil is to Volunteer, or donate to the cause.

Finally, spread the word. I’ve told you. Now you tell a friend. Post it on Pinterest, tweet about it, or create your own blog post. And with time, the word will spread.
