Hi and welcome back!
Today’s post is so short, it’s almost laughable. I was half tempted not to go through with it, but the “recipe” came out so to my liking that I thought: why not? Hell, this is a budget blog. And the recipe I have for you today is definitely a budget recipe. For all of you who can’t spend money on their favorite coffee creamer, well…no worries. Try this one instead.
- 1/2 cup vanilla almond milk
- 1/4 cup evaporated milk
Mix the two ingredients in a mason jar and shake, shake, shake until well combined. Keep stored in your refrigerator.
Add desired amount to coffee, and then your preferred sweetener.
Thanks to this creamer, my coffee turned out better than anticipated. I’m on a budget, right? So I found the cheapest coffee I could find, certain it would taste vile and barely tolerable. I was wrong. Happily wrong.
This is just the base, and you can introduce many more ingredients if you’d like. I’m entertaining the idea of chocolate flavor (1 tsp. cocoa powder), mocha (1 tsp strong espresso brew), vanilla (1/2 tsp vanilla extract…maybe 1/4) honey, (1 tsp organic honey) and maple (1 tsp all-natural maple syrup). Ohhh yeah. Sky’s the limit.
What recipes did you choose to your two ingredient coffee base?
