Happy New Years on Ria Lives Well!
As always, the new year doesn’t mean a global celebration and romantic smooch when the clock strikes midnight; it’s a time of great reflection. What did I accomplish the past year? What will the new year bring? Did I achieve all of last year’s resolutions? Will I achieve my resolutions this year?
Before you get to the quiet hour of reflection, relax. Enjoy the moment. Have a slice of pie.
And make your 2013 resolution list.
My 2013 Resolutions
- Get a job (am I alone?)
- Climb Ogden, Utah’s Via Ferrata in Spring!
- Go to Thailand in July
- Finish school (about damn time)
- Challenge myself more in the kitchen
- Study Spanish more (seriously, I thought I’d be bilingual by now)
What are your resolutions?
Make them realistic. Add a dream or two. And make sure you accomplish at least half of them! That’s my plan.
Here’s a list of the most popular New Year’s Resolutions:
- Spend more time with family and friends
- Lose weight
- Quit smoking
- Learn something new
- Use Ebay to sell unwanted items
- Manage debt
- Recycle more (yes!)
- Save money
- Help others
- Enjoy life
Not to put a damper on the celebration, but here is the Time’s list of most commonly broken New Year’s resolutions. Dare to be different and don’t break these resolutions!
What part of the world are you celebrating the new year? Australia? Italy? Canada? Afrcia? Send links of how your country celebrates when midnight roars in!
